Consider the practice of mindful shopping.
Instead of making purchases that follow the latest trend or indulgence, truly "treat yo self" by investing in your own wellbeing.
This is a big part of the intention behind what we provide to anyone who walks through the doors of Health Nut Nutrition. As such, we are elated to carry tea from the wonderful women at Good Karma Tea Co.
Read below to hear about the love and magic that goes into their blends. You can also get to know them in person during our 2nd Annual Holiday Open House and Gluten-Free Christmas Dessert Bakeoff on December 9!
Q: Who is behind your company?
A: Lyndsey and Cameo Hoyle
Q: How long have you been in business?
A: 3 1/2 years
Q: What kind of products do you make?
A: We blend loose leaf organic teas and tisanes. We sell and serve our teas.
Q: Where are you located?
A: We are located at 174 Norfolk Ave. Lynchburg, VA 24503. We source pure ingredients (tea and herbs) from larger distributors and blend from scratch. We enjoy the Rivermont area and being near Randolph College.
Q: Why do you do what you do?
A: We started because of our love for tea and health. We love to educate the public on smarter health choices. Tea and herbs have many benefits and we feel we can bring a lot to the community by creating a space for healing, community, and education.
Q: What kind of impact do you hope your products make on the people that purchase them?
A: We hope to offer an alternative to Western medicine by offering tea and tisanes that help with body pain, insomnia, allergies, and much more. We not only blend for health, but taste. So much goes into our blending process and we put a lot of love into our craft. We hope our customers find comfort and healing when sipping Good Karma Teas.
Q. How do you plan on furthering your mission from here on out?
A: We are focused on adding more tea events to our calendar, offering things like tea meditation, matcha demos, tastings, kombucha workshops, and much more! We plan to continue growing as a wholesale company with a goal of expanding our offerings outside of the area.
Q: Anything else you’d like to share?
A: We are so happy to have had such a great response in our first couple of years running our company, both from customers and businesses who sell and serve our product. With coffee shops a plenty, tea can sometimes be a difficult venture. However, people are starting to catch on to the wonderfulness of tea. We know there is a real want and need for healthier lifestyle choices and we are glad to offer those services to this community.
